Day 1: Yufu
We went to Cafe Hive for a quick and delicious lunch. Of course we had to try the ice cream. The bamboo charcoal chocolate was quite tasty. Then we strolled through the Floral village and Yunotsubo street. We made a little detour to the 3D Trick Art Yufuin before we headed to Kirin lake. We found a flat fee lot to park in that was pretty conveniently located to everything. As we drove in I saw to most gorgeous sakura umbrella at a little shop. As we sat down to eat at Hive my husband noticed that the umbrella store was attached to the restaurant…so I took it as a sign that I was meant to go and buy the sakura umbrella. Thank goodness I did! It definitely brightened my mood as explored in the drizzly weather. We even saw a rainbow!
